Fall is one of the leading causes accidental or unintentional injury deaths worldwide due to serious injuries such as head traumas and hip fractures. As life expectancy improved, rapid increase in aging population implied need for development vital sign detector fall help elderly seeking medical attention. Immediate rescue could prevent victims from risk suspension trauma reduce mortality rate among accident effectively. This paper presents FPGA-based detection algorithm using a threshold-based analytical method. The proposed minimize false positive other researchers by including non-fall events data analysis. Based on performance evaluation, successfully achieved sensitivity 97.45% specificity 97.38%. was able differentiate effectively, except fast lying that ending with sitting position. shows good result can be further improved an additional gyroscope detect posture lower body part.
